Black Sheep Assembly brings artists, ideas, and communities together across disciplines. We develop and share work in live performance and film, and invest in our communities through workshops and music lessons.

Tara Khozein

Tara Khozein is an internationally touring performer, improvisor, educator, composer, and theater director based in Brooklyn, NY and Budapest, HU.

She explores classical singing, improvisation, poetry, banter, and pan-idiomatic vocal sounds in concert and theatre settings. As an educator, she specializes in helping her students find freedom through vocal expression at any point in their lives. As a theater director, she specializes in improvisation as a vehicle for co-creation and facilitating collective feedback.

MARTIN BOROSS

Martin Boross is an award-winning Hungarian film and theatre director pursuing an MFA in Film Directing at NYU Tisch. Since 2017, he has directed six shorts, a feature documentary, and his critically acclaimed debut feature, Raw Material, which premiered in 2024, screened at European festivals, won a Special Prize at the 44th Hungarian Film Festival, and streams on HBO Europe.


He has directed 22 original theater productions including on-stage, site-specific, opera, documentary, and participatory works. His work has been presented in over 40 cities in 13 countries in Europe and the United States.
